SCOPE OF SERVICES
Meridian Credentialing can provide the following credentialing services:
- Initial Credentialing & Payor Enrollment: Complete and submit applications to enroll Client’s practitioners with mutually agreed-upon insurance payors and healthcare facilities.
- Assist new physicians and advanced practice professionals DEA and MO BNDD applications
- Act as a delegate for hospital/ambulatory surgery center applications
- Data enter and prepare application for final signature/submission
- Attach/submit required documentation: CME, case logs, COI, etc.
- Notify when practitioners leave the practice (protect Client non-compete clauses)
- Payor Enrollment
- CAQH Management
- update for new practice
- update every 120 days (3 times per year) as required
- PECOS for Medicare
- act as PECOS delegate for the group and individual practitioners
- add new practitioners
- revalidations every 5 years
- maintenance of address, removed resigned practitioners, etc.
- MO/KS Medicaid
- ensure the MO and KS medicaid are up to date for the group and individual practitioners
- Commercial Plans: BCBS, United Healthcare, Humana, etc.
- enroll the group and individual practitioners
- maintenance – addresses, practitioners leaving
- answer questions about practitioner roster
- CAQH Management
- Re-credentialing: Manage and submit all necessary documentation for timely re-credentialing of Client’s practitioners with contracted payers and facilities.
- Information Management: Securely maintain and manage all necessary practitioner data, licenses, and certifications required for the credentialing process.
- Assist Physicians with CME tracking for Certifying Boards and State Licensing Boards
- Status Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the status of all applications and provide the Client with regular updates.
- The Meridian Credentialing agrees to respond to emails, texts, phone calls within 24 hours
- Weekly email with status to client approved distribution list
- Expirables Management: Track and provide notifications for expiring documents such as medical licenses, DEA certificates, and board certifications.
- Remind all practitioners of upcoming license and life support expiration dates
- Renew MO & KS State LIcenses for Physicians
- Renew DEA and BNDD for Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals
- Malpractice Renewal – notify all facilities when medical malpractice policies are renewed
- Restricted Tasks: Meridian Credentialing is unable to provide the following services:
- Act as delegate for an NP or PA to renew their state license. Those practitioners cannot delegate their licensing to another person.
- Assist practitioners in completing initial licensing for a state license – it is too complicated as a delegate
